Huang Ming is Invited to a Luncheon with Dr. Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany

Dr. Michael F.W. Schaefer, ambassador of the Republic of Germany in China, in the name of Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany, invited Huang Ming, Board Chairman of the Himin Group and Vice President for Industry of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES), to talk with Merkel over lunch on Oct. 24th, 2008. Huang Ming accepted the invitation as a business representative of Chinese renewable energy industry.
During the meeting, Mr. Huang briefly introduced the Chinese sustainable development model for renewable energy (created by Himin Group), planning and construction of China Solar Valley, as well as the preparations for the 2010 International Solar City Congress. Merkel expressed her great interest, and then had further discussions with Huang Ming regarding a technological-research cooperation between German enterprises and Himin, and also investments and factory construction overseas. Helmut Lueders, section chief of the German Trade Promotion Agency, also intended to keep in contact with Himin Group, and he expressed that he would actively guide German enterprises to make negotiations and cooperations with Himin Group in the future.
