Tower Solar Power Generation

Tower solar power generation system, also known as concentrating solar power generation system, aggregates sunlight to the receiver on the top of the tower by groups of independent sun-following heliostats to get a high temperature, then the medium is overheated to vapor or high-temperature air to drive turbine generator set or gas generator set for power, thus converting the solar energy into electric power.

Cooperated with Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IEECAS), Himin undertakes the national 863 Project, i.e. the establishment of megawatt-class tower solar power generation demonstration station. In September, 2007, the test field of tower power generation was constructed in Yanqing, Beijing.
